This illustrated talk tells the story of Marjorie Harris Carr who fought the construction of the Cross Florida Barge Canal, first with the Alachua Audubon Society and then with the Florida Defenders of the Environment. This was one of the first successful grassroots environmental campaigns to challenge the Army Corps of Engineers.
