Cuba hosts 27 endemic birds, a variety of Caribbean endemics and North American migratory bird species. This presentation will explore Cuban birdlife along with the cultural requirements for US citizens visiting contemporary Cuba.


Marianne Korosy

Marianne has BS and MS degrees in Geology from FSU and a PhD in Conservation Biology from UCF. Her doctoral research focused on winter ecology of four sparrows in Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park. Marianne retired from Audubon Florida in 2021 as Director of Bird Conservation, overseeing the shorebird and Florida Scrub-Jay stewardship programs. She is currently serving as a board director for Apalachee Audubon.
